Cancer is something touches all of us. According to the Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) site, "1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetimes. We can change these odds." Tonight the Stand Up To Cancer program will air on over 30 networks with dozens of stars performing. WYZX, an ABC affiliate, says the program has raised millions of dollars since its start in 2008. From the 2012 broadcast alone, they raised over $81 million.
This program aims to raise awareness and show how everyone is connected by cancer. We all know someone or have been personally affected by cancer in some way. It is an opportunity to unite everyone in battling this disease.
Celebrities like Jesse Tyler
Ferguson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell will show their support. In addition, performers will include Hudson and Ariana Grande, and more.

SU2C says, "Our mission is to fund collaborative, translational cancer research to
bring treatments from the bench to the bedside faster, and save lives
now."
